- Age range for roles is 18-60 (all applicants must be 18 years of age by June 2025 to apply)
- All performers must be comfortable with singing, dancing and acting
- Good comedic instincts are an asset
- The production will ideally appoint a Dance Captain for the ensemble. The Dance Captain is required to be a leader and will work with the choreographer closely
- The characters below are all portrayed as men and women on stage – all applicants who meet the outlined performance requirements and feel comfortable playing the gender specified for each character on stage are encouraged to apply.
Audition Preparations:
1. Disney style song of your choosing (we may not need to hear the whole song but please prepare at least 32 bars so we can get a sense of your voice, if we stop you, please don't be alarmed we may just have heard what we need). Please bring a track of the song you choose, we will have a Bluetooth speaker available.
2. One of the audition sides listed below (we will also have printed copies of the sides at the audition — do not worry about memorization!)
Pick a side, and a role to read. If not a monologue, one of our team members in the room may read the scene with you during the audition. Try to pick a role that highlights your strengths and make big choices!
3. Please arrive early to fill out an audition form or print out beforehand and bring a filled-out form to your audition.
If, for any reason, you are unable to attend any of the scheduled audition times, please reach out to our Producer Amber Lucas! We are happy to collaborate with you to find an alternate time.
Roles marked with an asterisk (*) may also be part of the ensemble
JA’FAR
Vocal Range: B2 - A4
*This role may involve choreographed violence. *
The hero of our story, JA’FAR is virtuous and down-to-earth. He tries to be kind to everyone that he comes across, but his efforts often go unnoticed. Ja’far is disillusioned about the state of the world and believes that it will take an extraordinary amount of effort to bring prosperity back to the kingdom. He is practical and intelligent, and even though the entire world seems to be against him, all he wants to do is make the world a better place.
(We would love to see someone with a powerful belt, comedic instincts, and dramatic acting skills.)
ALADDIN
Vocal Range: A2 - G#4
*This role involves choreographed violence. *
Sleazy and manipulative, ALADDIN is a thirty-three-year-old thief with absolutely no regard for the people around him. He has no appreciation for hard work of any kind, one of his main desires is to seduce as many women as possible, And currently, he’s got his eye on the Princess.
(We would like to see: Strong comedic and dramatic acting)
PRINCESS
Vocal Range: G3- E5
The PRINCESS has always lived a very sheltered and privileged life, and wants to leave the palace behind for adventure. However, she doesn’t seem to be ready to face the real-world consequences of her actions. Over the course of the show, she finds her own inner strength and how to be true to herself while also helping others.

ROYAL VIZIER*
